Eagle Bay sits on the calmer, north-facing side of the Margaret River region, tucked inside Geographe Bay where conditions are noticeably gentler than the open Indian Ocean coast. Water temperatures here are among the most comfortable in the south-west. In summer, from December to February, the sea usually ranges between 20–23°C, making it ideal for longer, relaxed swims. Autumn stays pleasant at around 18–21°C, while winter brings cooler but still manageable temperatures, typically 15–17°C. Spring sees a steady warm-up again, generally sitting between 17–20°C as air temperatures rise.
