Murrays Beach sits at the southern end of Jervis Bay, near Jervis Bay Village, and enjoys water temperatures that are moderated by the bay’s sheltered setting despite its connection to the Tasman Sea. In summer, the water usually warms to around 21–24 °C, creating very comfortable conditions for swimming and spending long periods in the sea. Autumn often remains mild, with temperatures commonly between 19–22 °C, while spring is cooler at roughly 17–20 °C as the bay gradually warms after winter. During winter, water temperatures typically drop to about 16–18 °C, which can feel cool but is still suitable for short swims, particularly on calm, sunny days.
