Noosa Heads sits at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, fronting the Coral Sea, and enjoys some of the most comfortable water temperatures in Queensland. During summer, from about December to March, the sea usually ranges between 24 and 26 °C, making the water warm and inviting without feeling oppressive. In winter, typically June to August, temperatures drop to around 19–21 °C, which can feel fresh at first but is still pleasant for a swim on clear, sunny days. Spring and autumn are often ideal, with water temperatures commonly sitting between 21–23 °C and generally settled weather.
