Mullaloo sits along Perth’s City Coast north of Hillarys, with a wide sandy beach facing the open Indian Ocean. Water temperatures here are typical of the northern metro coastline and are well suited to swimming for much of the year. In summer, from December to February, the sea usually ranges between 21–24°C, feeling warm and refreshing on hot days. Autumn stays comfortable at around 19–22°C, while winter cools to roughly 16–18°C, which is brisk but still manageable for shorter swims. Spring brings a steady warm-up again, generally sitting between 18–21°C as air temperatures rise.
