North Beach sits along Perth’s City Coast just north of Trigg, facing the open Indian Ocean with a mix of sandy shoreline and small reef sections that influence local conditions. Water temperatures here follow the typical Perth metro pattern and are comfortable for swimming for much of the year. In summer, from December to February, the sea usually ranges between 21–24°C, feeling warm and inviting on hot days. Autumn remains pleasant at around 19–22°C, while winter cools to roughly 16–18°C, which is brisk but still manageable for short swims. Spring brings a gradual warm-up again, generally sitting between 18–21°C as air temperatures rise.
