Water temperatures here follow the familiar Sydney seasonal cycle. In summer, from December to March, the water is usually at its warmest, sitting around 21–24 °C and feeling comfortable for most swimmers. Autumn brings a gentle cool-down to roughly 19–21 °C. Winter is the chilliest period, with temperatures typically around 16–18 °C, while spring sees a gradual rise back into the 18–20 °C range as ocean temperatures recover and days become warmer.
