Water temperatures follow the usual seasonal rhythm for the Sydney coast. In summer, from December to March, the sea typically sits between 21–24 °C, offering comfortable conditions for swimming without needing a wetsuit. Autumn sees temperatures ease back to around 19–21 °C. Winter brings cooler water, usually in the 16–18 °C range, while spring marks a gradual warm-up to about 18–20 °C as the weather and water begin to lift again.
