Roaring Bay Beach sits on Tasmania’s south-east coast, opening onto the Tasman Sea where the water is clear, cool, and strongly influenced by seasonal weather patterns. Sea temperatures here are fairly typical for the east coast of the state. In summer, from December to February, the water usually reaches around 16–18 °C, which feels refreshing and is swimmable on warm, settled days. Autumn sees temperatures ease back to roughly 14–16 °C, while winter is much colder, commonly around 11–13 °C. In spring, the sea slowly warms again, generally sitting between 13–15 °C as daylight increases and conditions improve.
